King Diamond
King Diamond, cujo nome verdadeiro é Kim Bendix Petersen (Copenhaga, 14 de junho de 1956) é um cantor dinamarquês de heavy metal, conhecido por sua extensão vocal. Sua primeira banda foi a Black Rose e em 1980 ele formou o Mercyful Fate. King Diamond sempre usa maquiagem pesada em apresentações que são bastante teatrais. Seus álbuns musicais sempre contam histórias de horror.
Após a ruptura do Mercyful Fate, King se reuniu com Andy La Rocque e gravou o single No Present For Christmas, que se tornaria uma música favorita nos shows até os dias atuais.
Fixou-se então a formação clássica da banda, que gravaria o álbum de maior sucesso de sua carreira; Abigail.
* Durante este período também houve parceria com o produtor Roberto Falcão.
